months on the road, here are our recommendations for best
gear... MSR Dragonfly Stove... we have put everything in it from white gas to some very strange-smelling liquids. After cooking almost every meal for months, porridge still tastes good. Macpac Minaret Tent... our home for more than a year looked like it needed replacing before we started, but still kept us dry (well, most of the time). Thermos Flask and Bike Mounting... this trip simply wouldn't be possible without a nice cup of tea at lunchtime. Shimano SPD Sandals with Gore-tex Socks... kept Juliet's feet warm and cozy through all that snow in the Alps. She has rather strange tan lines on her feet, though. Dan's Back Wheel... which had a big crack in it in Uruguay but still keeps going, somehow. Stop press, no it doesn't. The streets of Westminster were just too much for it. Schwalbe Tyres... for willingly sending us replacements from Germany when they wore out.
